CAN I WORK WITH YOU IF I DON'T HAVE INSURANCE OR I DON'T WANT TO USE MY INSURANCE?

Yes! You can choose to pay out of pocket for your services. This method provides us the freedom to explore your concerns without interference from your insurance company or the need for us to "diagnose" your concerns with a mental health disorder for reimbursement.  It also provides you with more control over the type of care you receive and more flexibility in the work we do together.

Another benefit of paying privately for your services is that you are empowered to choose the therapist that’s the right fit for you and your needs, not just a therapist that accepts your insurance.  This is probably the most important variable to consider as you begin your healing journey.

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

Yes, I am "In Network" with Aetna, Aetna GEHA, Aetna Meritain, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Apostrophe, Bright Health Plan, Cigna, Cigna TPA, Cigna EAP, Medical Mutual of Ohio, Optum VA, Optum/United-EAP (OH), Oscar Health Plan, United All Savers, United BINDUnited GEHA/Shared Services,United Healthcare (OH), United Health Care Golden Rule, United Oxford, United Student Resources,United UMR.  If your primary behavioral health counseling benefits are covered through one of these providers, I will take care of billing your services.

It’s important to understand that in order to be eligible to bill your counseling services through your insurance company, you need to have a diagnosed mental health disorder. This applies to all therapy services. Some clients choose to pay out of pocket for their services to avoid this issue altogether.

You will be responsible for any co-pays, co-insurance or deductibles or any service fees that are not covered through your insurance provider.

If you have insurance but are not covered through one of the insurances that I’m paneled with, the good news is we can still work together.  Many health insurance companies offer "Out of Network" or "OON" benefits to their members.  This means you are required to pay for your counseling services out of pocket and then submit a document called a "Superbill" to your insurance company for reimbursement.  I can provide this document to you on a monthly basis.  This document will provide proof of payment for services and most insurance companies reimburse a significant portion of "OON" services.

All new clients are strongly encouraged to contact your insurance provider for details on your financial responsibility at each visit.  Please note that all service fees including co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles or previous balances are due prior to the start of your scheduled services.

HOW LONG DO SESSIONS LAST AND WHAT ARE YOUR SESSION FEES?

Private Pay clients, are those who do NOT use their insurance benefits for their services. For these clients, the investment for a 50 -60 minute initial visit is $125. Individual counseling sessions up to 50 to 60 minutes are billed at $125 and all sessions related to couples counseling appointments, up to 50-60 minutes, are an investment of $125.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

Currently, I accept Credit Cards, HSA Cards, Personal Checks, and Cash. All payments and balances are due prior to the start of your scheduled session.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

If for any reason you’re unable to attend an appointment, I ask my clients for 24 hours' notice. For any appointments canceled or missed without at least 24 hours' notice, clients will be responsible for the full session fee.
